retouching services - frequently asked questions
I'm not in the UK - does that matter?
No, not in the least. I work with professional photographers worldwide.
I'm not a professional photographer - does that matter?
I primarily work with professional photographers, however I do occasionally make an exception.
How much does it cost?
That depends entirely on how long the retouching will take. There are some examples on the Examples/Price Guide page to give you a few ideas, but feel free to send me your images for a free, no-obligation quotation.
I didn't take the photograph - is that ok?
That's fine, but you must own the copyright of any images you wish to have copied or manipulated. If you're not sure, please check with the photographer before sending them. By sending me an image for retouching, you are confirming that you have the legal copyright - I cannot be held responsible for any breach of copyright.
How do I send files?
Most prefer to take advantage of my FTP server for transferring files for retouching. There's an easy drag-and-drop page here, or full FTP accounts for regular customers with step-by-step instructions.
You could also send files on disc through the postal service. If you choose to do this, please do NOT send the original files - send a copy! Your discs can be returned on request at a cost of £0.75 each, to cover postage charges, or destroyed.
How long does it take?
Turnaround times are usually around 2-3 working days, often less.
How do I pay?
There are plenty of different payment options all listed on the Contact page.
